Apply visual timecode "burn"

It would be nice to apply visual timecode and other data (file name, perhaps) to the player display and to exported/converted output.

How is this progressing? Burn in windows that can apply metadata as well as TC would be very useful.

I would also love to see an option for Filename Burn-in in a similar way as TC burn-in.

Burn-in timecode and metadata for export/conversion is something we're planning and which is not too unlikely to happen rather soon after the 1.0 release.

File name and timecode are currently displayed in detail view. Could you elaborate what the additional value of having it as a player overlay would have for you, so we can understand it better?

Thanks a lot for your input!

I suppose if it's in the export only, that would be fine, too. The rationale for having it displayed in the viewer is that you would see it right in front of you when reviewing a shot, especially with a producer sitting next to you and also viewing the footage. It's a "nice to have" rather than an essential item in my mind. Thanks.

OK, I understand. Thanks for the explanation! Not promising anything but we'll consider this when further enhancing the player.
