I moved all my tagged items through KYNO from my desktop to hard drive but lost all the tags once moved!

What gives?
I feel I"ve done this before successfully moving the clips and files all beautifully tagged from my desktop where I work to the hard drive for storage where I need the tags and all the metadata I entered to remain so I can easily find the videos in the future with KYNO.
right now, I'm dragging and dropped from folder to folder in KYNO, both folders drilled down though it doesn't seem it needed to be, and I lost all the metadata, tags, shot, angle, on the files!!
